Kvitka Ukrainian Dance Club COVID-19 Protocol and Guidlines
Dancers should remain at home if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
•Cough (new cough or worsening chronic cough)
•Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing (new or worsening)
•Runny nose
•Sore throat
•Painful swallowing
•Stuffy nose
•Muscle or joint aches
•Feeling unwell, fatigue or severe exhaustion
•Gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or unexplained loss of appetite)
•Loss of sense of smell or taste
•Conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye

Dancers exhibiting any of these symptoms, will not be permitted to attend class.

At this time, dancers are not required to wear masks in the studio; however, the dance instructor will be wearing a mask during dance classes.

Dancers will not have access to the waiting area to store their belongings while they are in class.

Dancers will be asked to come to the dance studio in proper dance attire, including styling their hair as required.

It is also asked that dancers use the washroom before coming to the studio in order to limit dancers using the washroom at the studio.

There will be designated areas for each dancer in the studio, which
will be appropriately social distanced, where they can place a bag with the items they require for dance class (ie. water bottle, dance shoes, jacket, etc.) This is a small space so dancers are asked to only bring essential items into dance class.

Dancers will not be permitted into the dance studio before their scheduled dance times and parents will not be permitted to enter the dance studio.

Parents with dancers under 6 years of age may enter the building to help their dancers get ready for dance class, but will be required to wear a mask and use appropriate social distancing measures.

Dancers are expected to wait in the vehicle they have arrived in
until the instructor comes to the door to greet the dancers and the class before has exited the dance studio/building.

Dancers will be expected to use hand sanitizer before entering the building and complete a verbal wellness check with the instructor.

If dancers begin to exhibit symptoms listed above during dance class, or are claiming they are feeling unwell, parents will be contacted and will be expected to pick their child up from dance immediately. Dancers will be unable to return to dance until they are symptom-free.

The studio will be sanitized after each dance class using Alberta Health Services approved cleaning supplies.

It is asked that dancers do not touch walls, mirrors, etc.
