Who We Are

The Ukrainian Culture has so many beautiful aspects and we are so proud to be sharing it with Red Deer and area! Some of the aspects that we focus on are Ukrainian Dance, of course, as well as the music, beautiful authentic costumes from Ukraine, teaching our members how to make unique items such as Paskas (braided bread), and Pysanky (Easter Eggs) and more!

Kvitka, has been in Red Deer for over 40 years and has been a registered society since 1986. We offer weekly classes in Ukrainian Dance with a qualified, passionate instructor. Our dancers range in age from 3 to over 80 years who come from Red Deer and surrounding communities. Ukrainian heritage is not a requirement of membership – in fact, we welcome everyone to share in this beautiful culture.

Our dancers are available to provide entertainment, demonstrations, or stage performances for various venues, groups, or organizations, upon request.

Our board would like to introduce our exciting new Dance Instructor for Kvitka, she hails from Ukraine and is a wonderful addition not only our Ukrainian Dance Club, but to our beautiful city of Red Deer. Khrystyna has been teaching, choreographing and leading dance schools for over 9 years. She brings a passion for the art of Dance to our club that is contagious. Welcome to Kvitka Khrystyna!

My name is Khrystyna.

I graduated from Carpathian National University with a degree in folk choreography, and I can confidently say that this field and working with children are my greatest passions in life.

As the leader of a dance team, I always strive to create an environment where each participant can realize their potential and feel like part of a whole. My goal is to inspire the team to new achievements while providing support and understanding to each dancer. I believe in the importance of both professional development and teamwork because only in harmony can we achieve the best results.
